This is a portfolio of all the work that I did in the Bridge design class.
For this project we were supposed to create a black and white event poster within these constraints: one font family, two weights, two point sizes, no images.
For this project we were supposed to create a graduation poster within these constraints: one font family, two weights, two point sizes, and one image or graphic element.
For this project we were supposed to make any text we wanted and distort it in any way we felt like. The text I chose was “Florbo” because that is the nickname I usually use online.
For this project we were supposed to make a repeating pattern that could be reproduced over and over. The first thing that came to mind was the classic drawing of repeating cubes, and so I wanted to replicate that. I had a bit of trouble at first because the canvas size was wrong, but once I figured that out it was fine.
For this project we were supposed to draw a random shape and then make it into a character. For this i just started drawing whatever came to mind and this was the result!
For this we were supposed to make an animated gif of a smiley face going from a frown to a smile. I tried to think out of the box and go for a more creepy looking smiley face.
For this we were supposed to make an animated gif of a ball bouncing. I wanted to make it look as polished as possible so I gave the ball better shading.
The reason I made this art piece is because a friend and I have been writing a story with a creature called “The Grimm”. The Grimm is a 10 kilometer long sea leviathan living at the bottom of the ocean. It has been sleeping for as long as recorded history, but no one knows when it may wake.
This is another creature I made for a story my friend and I have been writing. This creature is called “The Snapper”. It hides on the floors of bogs and swamps with it’s teeth retracted into itself, waiting for an unlucky soul to step right into it’s mouth.
This is another drawing for me and my friend’s story. This is “The Unknown” it is something that lurks deep underground in the dark. Not much is known about it except it’s fear of light.
