Storage has an interesting purpose in our lives. This is where we put the things that we don’t need and sometimes don’t want, but have too much purpose or meaning to be discarded. Many view this as a place to put junk, but if it was just trash wouldn’t we throw it away? The items we put in storage, in a garage, in a closet, or even a box or drawer shine light onto a certain memory or part of oneself, and tell stories about those forgotten moments. It is these stories that Emyr Ortiz tries to capture in the photo set.
